Tom Walker Remembers Roberto Clemente

Tom Walker, whose son Neil played for the Pirates, met Roberto Clemente in the 1970s wile playing winter ball in Puerto Rico.
Tom wanted to fly with Clemente to Nicaragua on the earthquake relief mission, but there was no room on the plane. Clemente told Walker to stay in Puerto Rico and enjoy New Year’s Eve.
